Clinical Manager

16 hours per week, £25,000 per annum pro rata                                                                            

Listening Post is a long established counselling charity, Christian in foundation, that is highly valued for our delivery of counselling and counselling training in Gloucestershire.  

We are currently recruiting for a Clinical Manager to manage and provide guidance and oversight to a team of approximately 75 volunteer student counsellors, counsellors and supervisors.  You will be asked to provide supervision to some of the team and be responsible for client allocation.  In addition you will have line management responsibility for two clinical co-ordinators.  As a member of the senior management team, you will be asked to participate in the charity’s growth and development in coming years.

Listening Post believes that our clients are best supported by supporting our counsellors, and we take pride in the feedback we receive from counsellors about the quality of care and attention that is given to shaping a nurturing and stimulating practice environment. The Clinical Manager plays a key role in fostering this ethos.

You will need to hold a counselling diploma and have experience of a wide range of presentations. You will also need to be an experienced supervisor, preferably holding a qualification in supervision. Management experience of working in a voluntary setting is desirable, as is an aptitude for administration.
